Description-
SALONsalon is a Beauty Salon in Ballwin, MO that doubles as an art gallery. Recently they have hosted exhibits four times a year in their salon lobby, waiting room, and halls. This call for artist submissions is an invitation to MMFAS member artists to take part in the upcoming Fall show.
The gallery director has already confirmed three area artists and is looking for two more MMFAS members to complete the group exhibit. If accepted, each artist would be responsible for displaying their 2-D work in about 25 feet of wall space.
- There is no charge for submitting your work.
- There is a 30% commission to the salon.
- Artists are responsible for installing, labeling and selling their work.
- The salon will only accept work that is labeled for sale.
Important Dates-
- Deadline for submission: Sunday, August 23rd midnight
- Artist Notification: Friday, September 4th
- Installation: Sunday, September 27th 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Show on display: Sunday, September 27th – Sunday, January 3rd
- Reception: Friday, October 2nd, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Beer, wine and water served - Take-down: Sunday, January 3rd noon – 3:00 pm
If work needs to be picked up before Christmas because they are gifts, that is fine
How to Submit Your Work-
Complete the online form below. Give the jury detailed information about your art by including .jpg photographs of five works for consideration. Please keep picture files under 5 MB each. If you wish to submit more that five works, please use a second form with the same artist’s name.
