Deb Hart

Deb Hart started painting a year before retirement, with encouragement from a friend, Teddy. Teddy had been tutored by her mother, who is an excellent artist. Deb watched as Teddy got better and better. She thought, I’ve always wanted to paint, and if my friend can learn, so can I. Every now and then, after work they’d do a little painting at the kitchen table.

After retirement Deb joined a small local art group, Old Bus Stop Art Gallery. She was now painting once a week getting helpful tips and making friends. Deb joined Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society and began entering her paintings in their competitions. Then she began some art lessons with Shattered Glass. Next she joined Steelville Arts Council and displays some paintings at Gallery Zeke. Deb is delighted to be able to show and sell her paintings at these art galleries.
