Biography
I am a landscape artist who lives in Union, Missouri. I am also an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and have served congregations in Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. I currently serve as the Senior Pastor of St. Martin UCC, High Ridge, Missouri. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love the challenge of creating expressive landscape paintings that are full of energy and passion.
I was raised in Bellevue, Kentucky and attended Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois where I earned a B.A. in English, Religion & Philosophy. I also hold a Masters of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I enjoy painting in Plein Air (outdoors) as well as in my home studio. I work in traditional oils using a limited palette of colors and enjoy using palette knives as well as brushes.
Artist Statement
My inspiration for painting comes primarily from my local surroundings in Mid-Missouri along with the places where I have traveled. I use expressive mark making to convey the excitement and beauty I see in nature.
What Others are Saying
