Artist Statement

I am a happily married mom of four boys, and have three beautiful grandchildren.

Learning photography was initially a therapy assigned to me to aid recovery from two brain tumor surgeries. As I learned, photography quickly became a passion.

My work is inspired by gratefulness for my quality of life, and by passages such as, “Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!” (Isaiah 49:13), and “The earth has music for those who listen.” (Reginald Holmes). It is my joy to “paint” the art gallery of God’s creativity in camera, with waves of radiant energy and light…sun-rays, waterways, pathways…

Each new day is a wonderful gift that I get to celebrate with my camera in hand.
