Fifty Years of the Mid-Missouri Fine Arts Society
Creative at Klondike – July 6th to August 10th 2024
From its founding in 1974, the society has supported numerous artists in Franklin County and the surrounding area. This exhibit showcases the range of fine art MMFAS members have produced over the last five decades.
This call for submissions goes out to all past and present members. We’re looking for examples of work in all subjects and media that best represent the history, excellence, and diverse styles of the society’s members.
Eligibility
The jury panel is seeking work from present and former member artists that demonstrates their level of quality, style, and personality. Family members or other representatives may submit work for member artists who are deceased. Works that are no longer in the artist’s possession are acceptable as long as the current owner gives loan permission for the duration of the exhibition.
Acceptable media are specified in article I of the MMFAS constitution: painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, photography, blown glass, very fine jewelry, fiber arts, and original artist prints.
How to Submit
Your submission is limited to a maximum of five works.
Your submission is free of charge.
Prepare fresh photographs of the work:
- Use a camera or phone to take a frontal image of each work, as it will appear in the exhibit, including frame or gallery wrapped.
- Avoid reflection glare from glass or glossy finishes.
- Be sure to capture the complete work, including frame, within the margins of the photo.
- Do not attempt to crop the image.
- Do not reduce the image resolution. The larger the dimensions, the better.
- Be sure the image is in .jpg or .jpeg format.
- For 3-D work, photograph on a solid light background.

Or download the PDF, print, and complete the information in the submission form, photograph it, and email with attached photos of the works to chairperson David Arnold at info@mmfas.com. Use “JULY SHOW” as the email subject.
Important Dates
- Exhibition runs from July 6th to August 10th.
- Deadline for submission: Midnight June 8th
- Jury will send notification of acceptance: June 15th
- Delivery of accepted works: June 29th 9:00 – noon
- Reception: July 6th noon to 6:00 pm
- Pickup of work: August 10th 9:00 – noon
Note: At the hosting venue, Creative at Klondike charges a 40% commission on any sales of work included in the exhibition. All work must remain in place for the duration of the show. If you have any questions regarding this exhibition, email David Arnold at info@mmfas.com.
